ABOUT GALERIE DEADFLY

Galerie Deadfly was set up by Maurice Doherty in November 2010 as a space for the presentation of less commercially orientated and more confrontational art. In addition to showing up and coming Berlin-based artists, Galerie Deadfly has exhibited artworks by more established artists including Beagles and Ramsay, Reynold Reynolds, Ma Qiusha, Michael Fullerton, Douglas Gordon, David Sherry, along with more antagonistic entities such as the hacker group Anonymous and the Scottish performance artist Captain Hate. The exhibitions at Galerie Deadfly are conceptually-motivated, with the aspiration that the theme of each show provides a significant context to the individual artworks presented. Galerie Deadfly’s international exhibition programme reflects a variety of outlooks and practices. Exhibitions have included video, performance, conceptual art, sculpture  and painting by Scottish and British artists, along with artists from USA, China, Britain, France, Sweden and Ireland.
